For a nominally priced dues structure of $50 per member,
Tour Kansas is an investment more than an expense.
Take a look at these member benefits:
Tour Kansas was formed on the premise that the individual members would benefit more as a unified marketing unit, rather than a single entity. Members share information and ideas in an effort to better sell each other’s destinations and group travel options. Membership meetings are held every quarter and other events are scheduled throughout the year for additional membership networking opportunities.
A well-researched and thoughtfully negotiated cooperative marketing plan is offered to members of Tour Kansas every year. With “Kansas” page spreads in leading group travel publications including Bank Travel, NTA Courier, Destinations, Group Travel Leader, Leisure Group Traveler and more, Tour Kansas members who advertise with the co-op can reach savings of up to 50% when placing ads in the same publication with other destinations in Kansas.
Learn how to attract tour groups and what to keep in mind when enticing prospective tour groups to come to your area. Tour Kansas offers member education from experts in the industry via webinars, educational presentations at meetings and through our quarterly e-newsletter to members.
- Annual Showcase
Each year, Tour Kansas “hits the road” and invites our members to showcase their destination and tour options to planners in a specific region. Typically within a bordering state drive-market to Kansas, this annual tradeshow and Kansas showcase gives planners a glimpse of all the many unique and exciting tour itineraries available to them in Kansas. For a very affordable booth rate, you can showcase your destination to 25+ planners in attendance—this event typically sells out each year! In 2013, we went south to Oklahoma City and visited with 30+ tour operators…join us in 2014 as we travel north!
- Leads & Lists
Tour Kansas representatives travel to 2-3 trade-shows each year to cross-promote and sell ALL of Kansas to planners. From bank directors to independent operators, Tour Kansas selects shows in the Midwestern region to make sure our profile is front and center with planners in attendance. At the conclusion of the show, we send the “leads” to all Tour Kansas members in good standing so you can follow-up with the planners about your specific tour offerings and incentives.
